Responsibilities:Act as technical liaison between the customer, engineering, assembly and procurementBuilding and pricing Bills of Materials (BOMs) for various Interface Test Assemblies/Adapters, cables, other BCO product, based on a drawing package that typically includes dimensional drawings, parts list, wiring diagrams, fab files, Gerber files, and ASME Y14.100 dimensional drawings.Produce working bills of materials at the level sufficient for purchasing group to distribute requests for quote, or place order for material. This activity includes make/buy decisions for cost proposals, selection of a particular machined part/sheet metal part supplier for individual BOM itemsRequirements:Solid background in Mechanical engineering, Machine Shop operation knowledge is a plusStrong understanding of mechanical drawings compliant to ASME Y14.100, (Level 1, 2 & 3), good understanding of GD&TKnowledge of cable and harness manufacturingKnowledge of sheet metal fabrication, machining techniques, plating, and other finishes.Experience with complex wiring, cabling, wiring harnesses, and interface test assemblies/adapters.Experience with PTC CREO, or use and operation of any other type of CAD software (Solidworks, AutoCAD), use of MS VisioWorking knowledge of PCBA assembly and manufactureAbility to inspect machine parts based on ASME Y14.100 drawings and to communicate with suppliersQualifications:B.S.
