About the RoleWe’re looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is passionate about driving quality from concept to customer. In this role, you’ll lead our ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, ensure compliance with global product certifications, and collaborate across engineering, production, and sourcing teams to embed quality into every process.
What You’ll Do· Own and maintain the company’s ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System
· Lead internal and external audits; implement corrective and preventive actions
· Ensure compliance with product certifications (NSF, ASME, ATEX, CE, etc.)
· Collaborate with Engineering and Production on quality requirements for new products
· Develop and enforce inspection procedures for receiving, in-process, and final checks
· Train internal teams on quality standards, inspection techniques, and continuous improvement tools
· Develop and maintain quality training materials and SOPs
· Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions using structured problem-solving
· Participate in FMEA and risk assessments; support risk mitigation during design and production
· Maintain calibration records and coordinate equipment calibrations
· Evaluate and process non-conforming materials and RMAs
· Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organization
What You BringRequired:
· 5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering field
· Strong understanding of engineering drawings, inspection methods, and quality systems
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with AutoCAD, Inventor, or SolidWorks
· Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Preferred:
· Experience in pumps, fluid control, or pressure vessel manufacturing
· Familiarity with ASME Section VIII, metal forming, and molding techniques
· Knowledge of Six Sigma and/or LEAN principles
· Experience with 2D/3D CAD software (e.g., Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks)
Bonus Points For· Certifications: CQE, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, or ASQ membership
· Metrics Ownership: Experience tracking KPIs like First Pass Yield, Cost of Poor Quality, and RMA rate
· Cross-Functional Leadership: Leading teams in root cause analysis and product launches
Salary Disclosure (California-Compliant)Compensation Range: The base pay range for this position is $85,000 – $98,000 annually. This range reflects the salary the company reasonably expects to pay for the role, based on factors such as experience, skills, certifications, and internal equity. Final compensation may vary depending on the candidate’s qualifications and geographic location within California.
