THIS POSITION

While working closely with our multidisciplinary project teams, you will have an important role winning, leading, and managing projects. You will use your previous landscape architectural experience in the design and preparation of plans, drawing and specifications, and cost estimates for the development of improvement projects with the goal of increasing both the function and aesthetic development of land and related areas. You will have the opportunity to interface with both existing and new clients to ensure their project needs are met; overseeing development of ecological restoration plans, natural resource management plans, and other technical documents; and working as part of our team to solve an array of water and environmental issues critical to California s environmental, water, and conservation landscape.

Responsibilities include:
  • Meeting with clients, builders, engineers and landscapers to explain project goals
  • Management of multiple projects of various size from initial contact with client, preliminary design phase, and through construction document phase
  • Preparing site plans, specifications and estimates
  • Development and production of complete detailed project documents, and standardized CAD details
  • Select materials based on client desire, budget and climate parameters
  • Management of client relationships and attending project walk-through at completion of projects
  • Research and analyze environmental reports on land conditions

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) from an accredited college or university with major course work in landscape architecture or closely related field
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, a California certificate of Registration as a Professional Landscape Architect within one year of employment
  • Previous experience and good working knowledge with AutoCAD, Civil3D, GIS. and/or Microstation
  • Strong communication skills to express work in a timely and effective manner within teams and with clients, various agencies, and other disciplines working on project.
  • A strong desire to excel and advance in a fast paced, challenging, client focused environment
  • Highly organized self-starter with the ability to work independently and coordinate/ follow-up with multiple priorities, while managing time effectively and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work with a high degree of problem solving with little supervision; exercising independent judgment in completion of work, including directing engineering activities to complete project.
  • A competitive, client oriented personality with a knack for creative problem solving will succeed in this position
LOCATION
  • We are strategically located in central California to best serve the needs of our clients. This position is located at our office in downtown Clovis and requires occasional off-site meetings or client site visits.
  • This is not a virtual or work from home position.
