Description
Supervised Visitation Workers are responsible for transporting children to supervised visitation with their parents or siblings. Workers are responsible for supervising the visit and ensuring a safe and positive visiting experience. Strong attention to detail and the ability to document visit information accurately and timely is important. Some evening and weekend hours are required.
Salary: $17.00 per hour
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Utilize knowledge of child development to conduct safe, supervised visits with family members. Visits must be positive and interactive.
- Monitor child/family interaction during visitation.
- Redirect families and provide feedback, as needed.
- Safely transport individuals to and from visits.
- Exercise judgment to intervene as an advocate for clients in emergency and crisis situations.
- Provide factual documentation per program standards and within established timeframes.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely and obey all traffic laws. Reliable transportation on a daily basis preferred, a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must have reliable transportation and proof of current automobile insurance.
Education and Training:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Infant/Child Car Seat Training required.
Experience:
- Previous experience in social services, human services, criminal justice, early childhood education or child care helpful, but not required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to read, speak and write clearly in English.
- Must be able to work cooperatively and collaboratively with Children’s Wisconsin.
- Must establish and maintain productive and professional relationships with clients, colleagues, the school district, and other community agencies.
- Must maintain client confidentiality.
- Ability to prioritize and make appropriate decisions.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage time.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
