Retail Supervisor

Our need is for a Retail Supervisor to join our AbilityOne Base Supply Center. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with a close-knit group, in a team-based environment.

So, what will you actually be doing?

The successful candidate will be able to:

1. Provide oversight, support and guidance for retail and warehouse operations.
2. Perform cashier and customer service duties utilizing an automated point-of-sale system.
3. Responsibilities may include cash register operation, providing customer service and assistance with special orders.
4. Receiving merchandise and stocking shelves including quality assurance.
5. Perform customer service functions to include greeting of customers, assisting with product selection and loading of purchases.
6. Operate Material Handling Equipment.
7. Conduct Cycle and Physical Count Inventories
8. Build, develop and/or work in teams to accomplish performance goals.
9. Perform purchasing functions as needed for both inventory stocking and special-order requirements
10. Track back orders, RMA’s, reach out to vendors when needed. Manage POs and Invoices
11. Verifies merchandise shipments received against purchase orders, packing slips and/or waybills.
12. Process orders in EESOH system for HazMat pharmacy and FEDMALL ordering system.
13. Conducting performance reviews, administering disciplinary actions if necessary and other tasks related to oversight of all aspects of store operations.

Qualifications:

1. Must be a team player and have a “Can Do”, roll-up sleeves and get it done attitude.
2. Excellent leadership, communication, organizational skills and outstanding customer service skills.
3. Minimum of 3 years supervisor experience desired with forklift experience preferred, and the ability to lift heavy objects.
4. Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment and multitask constantly shifting priorities.
5. Knowledge of basic computer operations.
6. Must be very organized, detailed and a team player…must be willing to adapt to change.

8. Must have valid Driver’s License - 2 or less points.
9. Must be able to pass a security clearance.

Qualified candidates must pass a background investigation from Blind Industries and Services of Maryland and the Federal Government.
