Manages the operations of the Perkins Grant, plans, organizes, and communicates with the Perkins staff, THECB, and Blinn program coordinators. Responsible for implementing a comprehensive recruitment and retention process to identify, enroll, and retain qualified students.

Principal Accountabilities
Principal Accountabilities
1. Assist in the development of new Applied Science programs, including revisions, in cooperation with division leadership team members.
2. Assist Perkins Coordinator with writing, developing, and implementing the annual Carl D. Perkins grant application, annual budget, program, bi-annual performance report, annual performance reports, and Comprehensive Local Needs Assessment.
3. Design, develop, and produce ad hoc reports and analysis by assimilating data from institutional databases and records to support Applied Science Programs; including the maintenance of appropriate records pertaining to Applied Science Programs and students. Ex. Lost Grads, Dropped Calls, GradCast.
4. Outreach and maintain contact with students who did not successfully complete the programs to discuss options for returning to school and informing them of what is needed for program completion/graduation.
5. Assist the Perkins Coordinator with updating and implementing compliance with the Comprehensive Local Needs Assessment (CLNA) based on current student data and submit to THECB accordingly.
6. Provides data to monitor and track students in CTE certificate and Applied Science programs, as well as in skills attainment and obtaining an industry recognized credential.
7. Coordinates and communicate with deans, department chairs, and other careers technical education faculty to ensure that the Perkins department is meeting the industry needs for in-demand, high wage, and emerging careers
8. Assist in the compilation of data for quarterly reports.
9. Follow-up with students as needed to obtain required documentation needed to determine eligibility for Perkins grant assistance.
10. Collaborate with faculty and staff to plan and organize informational workshops (Help is On the Way) for special population students enrolled in Applied Science programs.
11. Conduct the collection and data entry of all Applied Science graduate and employer surveys. Ensure the dissemination of results to appropriate parties, as needed.
12. Perform other related duties as assigned.
