Location: Oak Brook, IL
Schedule: 7 AM – 3:30 PM
Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt
About the Role:
The Stock Handler is responsible for the accurate set up of Production Lines and Tables in addition to ensuring that all related batch record documentation is complete and in accordance with Blistex cGMP and applicable procedures. The Stock Handler is responsible for the inventory accuracy of all returned components from Production and their subsequent material movement transactions. The Stock Handler also manually, by forklift or hand truck, moves materials, supplies and/or finished goods to the appropriate location.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Supports Manufacturing by staging, setting-up the lines and reporting its output.
- Ensures the accuracy of all counts.
- Double-checks and initials inventory tags on finished goods.
- Performs accurate material location for produced finished goods.
- Stacks skids or pallets in designated areas.
- Picks stock by the oldest inventory first (FIFO).
- Accurately completes batch record documentation through correct component reconciliation and cGDP (current Good Documentation Practices).
- Documents and accounts for all packaging material left over from Production runs in accordance to BLX-SOP-0151 (Restock Procedure).
- Monitors the condition of departmental equipment.
- Participates in maintaining inventory accuracy.
Basic Qualifications
- A high school graduate, or equivalent preferred.
- The knowledge and skills required for this position are typically acquired in 1-3 years of experience in a warehousing and distribution environment.
- Must have prior experience operating a forklift.
- Must be able to read and write business English.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to learn and apply accrued knowledge of standard Production Department’s procedures.
- Must possess general knowledge of GMP, OSHA, FDA and other related guidelines.
- Must have some familiarity with basic data input in a Windows environment.
- Must possess comprehensive understanding of GMP, OSHA, FDA, and other related guidelines and be able to apply.
- Must possess the ability to develop and maintain an effective working relationship with internal and external customers, function as a team player, accept constructive criticism from management and comply with Company policies.
Additional Qualifications
- Must possess good mathematical aptitude (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
- Must be able to convert pounds, ounces, kilos, grams and other liquid measurements.
- Must possess good organizational ability.
- Willingness to accept other duties, as assigned.

Compensation
The base pay for this position ranges from $19.84 - $24.80. Pay is based on a number of factors including job related knowledge, skills and experience.
