What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Maintenance Tech position at Blkswan Holdings?
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical, to ensure optimal operation and compliance with safety standards.
- Diagnose and repair plumbing and electrical issues, including but not limited to, fixing leaks, unclogging drains, repairing wiring, and replacing fixtures.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, providing effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance work when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed, parts ordered, and inventory levels.
- Implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of building components.
- Ensure compliance with all building codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Assist with renovations, installations, and other projects as needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance, including extensive experience in plumbing and electrical repairs.
- Relevant certification or vocational training in plumbing, electrical work, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, codes, and safety regulations.
- Ability to diagnose problems, provide quick and effective solutions, and perform repairs with precision and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with team members, management, and tenants.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must be available for on-call duties and emergency response outside of regular business hours.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
