What are the responsibilities and job description for the Strategic Construction Advisor (Equity-First) position at Blockwidth?
Blockwidth is looking for a Strategic Construction Advisor to support the development of our regional digital infrastructure focused on local power, fiber, and facility readiness for next-generation technologies. Our work sits at the intersection of data center development, industrial construction, and community-scale digital enablement.
We are seeking an experienced advisor who can help guide planning, site evaluation, and construction strategy as we prepare for our first deployments.
Role Overview
This is an advisory position that supports Blockwidth’s leadership team with:
• Reviewing site and building feasibility
• Guiding power and mechanical planning
• Assessing constructability, phasing, and contractor strategy
• Advising on project sequencing and cost expectations
• Helping ensure we make smart, grounded decisions as we scale
Time Commitment
• ~10–20 hours per month (flexible)
• Additional time as needed during key project windows
Compensation
• This is an equity-only advisory role, structured for long-term alignment with the success of Blockwidth’s infrastructure platform.
Who We’re Looking For
A candidate with meaningful experience in:
• Data center, industrial, or mission-critical construction
• Power-heavy or mechanical-heavy projects
• Facility retrofits or ground-up development
• Working with utilities, contractors, and A&E teams
• Guiding early-stage teams through responsible build planning
