What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Associate position at Bloomberg Industry Group?
The Sales Associate is responsible for driving pipeline growth for the nationwide sales team by generating and nurturing leads. These individuals qualify inbound leads and generate new leads through research and contacting targeted prospects over the phone and social media to position Bloomberg Industry Group products to prospective customers in a defined market segment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for maintaining and growing call lists / prospect lists in defined territory(ies).
- Schedules first appointments for relationship partners.
- Records details of outreach in Salesforce/CRM (e.g. call notes).
- Plans weekly call list strategy in line with overall territory and account-specific strategies.
- Provides high-level value proposition and product overviews to interested leads.
- Posts and prospects to LinkedIn, creates images.
- Conducts prospect outreaches – (i.e., follows prospects on Twitter to reach out to them meaningfully).
- Identifies and addresses client needs in order to perform tailored demos.
- Develops expertise of local market and shares knowledge with RP (via social media and other media outlets).
- Schedules training and other client engagement activities as needed.
- Leverages relationships with peers to identify and assume best practices.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills as well as solid writing skills.
- Ability to be persistent when contacting potential clients which includes being comfortable with rejection.
- Ability to meet deadlines, work independently, take initiative and follow through with requests.
- Marketing and social media skills.
- Good problem solving skills.
- Ability to be a good listener.
- Must be proficient with Salesforce/CRM.
Education and Experience**:
- Bachelor's degree with relevant coursework.
- Minimum 1 years’ experience in a role with cold calling, outbound customer contact, lead generation or qualifying prospects a plus.
- At least 1 years’ experience within a quota-driven environment a plus.
