One of the most important goals of the Production Supervisor is to properly organize and direct the production staff to achieve a satisfactory workflow. They must also identify areas for improvement and organize training opportunities for their team. This position is a working Supervisor who will be working side-by-side with their crew.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Supervising operations within the facility to achieve higher output
- Organizing training and educational manuals for the production team
- Assisting in the recruitment and onboarding of new hires
- Develops, implements, and enforces operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality and revenue.
- Organizing, monitoring, and prioritizing tasks to meet production goals
- Evaluating various stations of the production operation to ensure optimum efficiency
- Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
- Knowledge of manufacturing tools and equipment
- Computer literacy with working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent organization, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong work ethic
- Ability to create and adhere to production processes
- Ability to write reports legibly and accurately
- Relevant training and certification in industrial production, engineering, or any related field
- A minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in a manufacturing facility, working in production AND
- HS diploma plus 3 years production supervisor experience in a manufacturing environment; OR
- Associates degree plus 3 years production supervisor or team experience in a manufacturing environment; OR
- Bachelor’s degree plus 2-year production supervisor or team lead experience in a manufacturing environment
- Office and manufacturing facility environment
- Occasional periods of standing or sitting for extended periods of time
- Required wearing of appropriate PPE
- Exposure to hot/cold weather and loud noises in a production environment
- Frequent computer and telephone use
- Frequent communication with people throughout the day
