Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with a global enterprise in the automotive space, is seeking a skilled Senior Cisco Network Engineer. This role is responsible for managing and resolving day-to-day network tickets, supporting Cisco-based infrastructure across multiple sites, and helping standardize and automate network operations for improved stability and scalability.
Job Duties
- Manage and resolve network-related tickets across a large distributed environment
- Support Cisco SD WAN, Firepower firewalls, and enterprise switching and routing
- Perform firmware and code upgrades on Cisco devices and wireless access points
- Maintain and manage Cisco wireless access points across multiple generations
- Participate in change activities involving switches, routers, firewalls, VPN, and wireless
- Develop and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and configuration templates
- Coordinate with local IT staff, vendors, and carriers for network support and implementations
- Contribute to architecture discussions by providing operational insights and feedback
Required
- 5 years of hands-on experience supporting Cisco-based enterprise networks
- Proficiency with Cisco SD WAN, routing (BGP), switching, and Firepower firewalls
- Experience managing Cisco Catalyst 9200/9300 switches and ISR routers
- Familiarity with Cisco wireless platforms and access point management
- Experience performing firmware/code upgrades and patching
- Ability to create and maintain technical documentation and standard templates
- Understanding of dynamic routing protocols, especially BGP
- Mindset toward automation and process improvement (e.g., scripting, templating)
Desired
- Exposure to Meraki and Palo Alto technologies in a hybrid enterprise environment
- Familiarity with Cisco Catalyst Center and Cisco Secure Access/Secure Cloud
- Experience working in large, multi-site environments with OEM and third-party integrations
- Basic scripting or tooling experience to streamline repetitive tasks
