**What youll do**
Contact group to verify benefit package for contractual, billing and
maintenance purposes. Advise Agents/Brokers on discrepancies and/or
errors if necessary. The initial phone contact will develop a customer
profile to form the basis of a good working relationship.
Review evidence of insurability to determine acceptance or denial of
insurance amounts up to and including \$100,000. Also includes authority
to approve or deny medical underwriting of Short-Term Disability
Benefits. Representative Is Required To Load Information On An
Underwriting Tracking log, which is designed to monitor the turnaround
time and status of evidence of insurability applications.
Input required information in systems, which affects all departments of
Advanced Insurance Company of Kansas (AICK). Systems used include
FACETS, Outlook, BluECM and LAN applications.
Issuance of contracts to Reinsurers, Agents and Brokers as required.
Responsible for managing revenue stream of new group annualized premium
to ensure proper commissions are paid to all Sales force.
Apply payments, review & reconcile monthly billings to determine
effective dates and adjustments are calculating correctly. Payments must
balance with the FACETS system. Reconcile billing adjustments in
eBilling with the FACETS system. Consult with customers to solve billing
issues/conflicts. This includes Self-Administered groups.
Process/calculate salary changes in accordance with contractual
guidelines. Evaluate class changes affected by salary adjustments. Make
exceptions to change effective dates of salary adjustments requested by
the customer.
Responsible for member benefit changes as requested by determining
eligibility, effective dates, and if medical underwriting is required.
Evaluate class changes and determine the addition or termination of
benefits acceptable to contractual guidelines.
Determine eligibility and effective dates for new enrollees according to
contractual guidelines. Determine if evidence of insurability is
necessary on late enrollees. Giving consideration to all possible
factors to minimize exposure to adverse selection and liability.
