Role Description
This is a contract role for a Title Abstractor. The Title Abstractor will be responsible for conducting title searches, researching courthouse records, and examining documents to determine ownership of applicable property rights. Day-to-day tasks include preparing detailed reporting, document analysis entries into a runsheet, deed plotting, mapping, flowchart diagram of title, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with team members to resolve any title-related issues. The role is a hybrid position with opportunities in Eastern Ohio, SW Pennsylvania, and Northern West Virginia with some remote work from home is acceptable.
This is NOT a fully remote position due to some records only available onsite.
Qualifications
· 5 Years Experience in mineral title abstracting
· Knowledge of mineral title conveyances/severance
· Understanding of leasehold estate (WI, ORRI, wellbore WI/ORRI)
· Familiarity with ODNR, DEP, etc. well map viewers
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
· Ability to work independently and in a team setting
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Proficiency in Adobe DC Pro, Microsoft Office, Net Deed Plotter (or other programs)
· Ability to prepare digital deed plot overlay mapping overlaid on current tax maps to identify lands described in deed descriptions
· Bachelor's degree
· Energy Management, law degree, and/or AAPL Certifications (CPL/RPL/RL) preferred
