About the Role

As a Lineman, you’ll play a vital role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic communication lines, HFC systems, and more. You’ll be working on both overhead and underground infrastructure, ensuring the reliability and quality of cutting-edge communication networks. From climbing poles to inspecting cables and troubleshooting issues, every day brings a new challenge and opportunity to grow.

Key Responsibilities

• Aerial Construction: Frame poles, place strand, lash cables, and install terminals, line extenders, nodes, and other essential hardware.
• Underground Work: Pull fiber and coax cables, install conduit systems, place cabinets, and ensure proper grounding.
• Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Identify and resolve issues to keep systems running smoothly, including emergency service restoration.
• Safety First: Follow all safety protocols, use proper tools and equipment, and contribute to a culture of safety.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, project managers, and team members to meet timelines and exceed customer expectations.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking individuals who are not just experienced but also passionate about their work and eager to contribute to a high-performing team.

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience: 5–10 years in telecommunications, fiber optics, HFC, construction, or related fields.
• Technical Know-How: Proficiency in aerial and underground construction, fiber splicing, and interpreting staking sheets and splicing diagrams.
• Problem Solver: Ability to think critically and solve issues efficiently.
• Physical Fitness: Comfortable working at heights, lifting up to 50 lbs., and handling the physical demands of the role.
• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Tools & Equipment: Familiarity with bucket trucks, lashers, climbing gear, and power tools.

Bonus Points

• Knowledge of electrical codes and grounding/bonding requirements.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Previous experience with HFC and Fiber
• A team player with a can-do attitude!
