Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:

The maintenance technician provides daily support for maintenance across multiple counties for residential and commercial units. As a Maintenance Technician, the primary responsibility is maintaining the property to a high standard.

Qualifications Needed:

• Clear and effective writing and speaking skills for communications over the telephone, work orders, and/or in-person
• Manage a positive client-oriented and professional attitude with clients, co-workers, tenants, and the general public
• Proficient technology skills, including but not limited to, using a Smartphone and working in the company property management software
• Working knowledge of basic handyman skills including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, landscaping, etc
• Must be able to climb ladders and lift 50lbs unassisted
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Must pass a criminal background and drug test for employment
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent education is required

Job Duties:

• Safely and professionally performing general maintenance and grounds tasks
• Completing daily assigned and emergency work orders
• Submitting daily work orders with inventory, receipts, photos, and hour tracking
• Preventative and routine maintenance with air filters, water filters, CO detectors, smoke detectors, etc
• Apartment complex property checks on a routine basis including common area maintenance, clean-up of trash, pet waste, cigarette butts, etc as needed
• Ability to document and report maintenance concerns to management
• Capital improvement projects
• Maintain a clean work vehicle with a stocked inventory
• Working across multiple counties on single-family homes, apartments, and commercial properties
• Potential on-call work for nights, weekends, and after hour calls can be required for this position
• Full time position with potential for approved overtime based on rental season
• Ideal candidate must be a team player, dependable, and flexible. Must be willing to learn new processes and techniques, be a problem solver, have great customer service, with a positive attitude.

Pay: $17.50 - $19.50 per hour
