Administrative Support Specialist
Come join the dynamic team of providers and staff at Blue Sky Counseling dedicated to providing substance use services across the state of Maine. Blue Sky Counseling is hiring a Administrative Support Specialist for our Waterville office. This is a flexible position and you will be supporting many departments, wherever the need arises, and must be able to multitask. They will support with our Billing/Financial Department and our Administrative Department.
They will be responsible for a variety of tasks including providing outstanding customer service, assisting the people we serve with accessing care, scheduling appointments, clerical functions, processing group/individual appointments, and clinical staff support. Utilizing many key functions in Mainecare, HealthPas, Kepro, updating spreadsheets, accessing data bases, processing payments, etc. A good working knowledge in Microsoft office, Word, excel, google sheets and computers in general is necessary.
This position requires a high degree of professionalism, effective oral and written communication. Must be a team player with a positive attitude and be dependable. A general understanding of substance use, and recovery is essential, with the ability to create an understanding and non-judgmental environment for people to engage in treatment. Training will be provided to the chosen candidate to ensure they are given the knowledge and tools needed for this job.
Minimum Education/Experience Qualifications:
· High school diploma required, associates or BA/BS preferred.
- Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, ability to travel if needed
- At least 2 years of experience in customer service or related field
- An understanding of HIPPA and Confidentiality is required.
· Basic knowledge and ability to use Microsoft office software, ability to learn and utilize Electronic Medical Records and other client-based payment systems.
- Excel experience, ability to learn KEPRO and other billing and data management systems as needed.
· Must be extremely detail oriented, possess excellent organizational skills and be highly dependable.
· Understanding of basic office equipment and phone systems
· Team player and collaborative approach to promote cohesive office functions.
· Demonstrate Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
· Understanding of local, state and federal regulations, billing guidelines and insurance expectations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
