A managerial position responsible for the overall direction, administration, supervision, and coordination of Health and Safety Services to ensure continuity of services for pregnant women, families, and children birth through 5 years of age enrolled in BVCA's Head Start Children Services (CS) programs.
Responsibilities include:
Assisting the Management Team to administer and manage the day-to-day operations of the Head Start health and safety components, including roles in planning, organizing, budgeting, implementing, and monitoring comprehensive services for families and children.
Provide oversight, management, leadership and direction for the Health & Safety service area which includes Health, mental health, nutrition, and safety.
Provide direct services in the area of expertise. May include: participation in county treatment team meetings, develop and monitor medical treatment plans and medication administration to children, secure opportunities for staff well-being and mental health, assist in providing children's health screenings, pre and post natal screenings, facilitate Health Advisory Board meetings and provide staff and community education and training.
Directly supervise the Health and Safety team members of the CS department
