Job Description
Blue Water Thinking is seeking an experienced and dedicated Project Manager to join our team, supporting a large program at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The primary responsibility for this role is to handle the day-to-day management and administration of project tasks in support of the program.
Responsibilities:
- Develops detailed work plans and schedules in response to support service requests.
- Assigns staff responsibilities and supervises all staff efforts to achieve project milestones.
- Manages and reallocates resources to ensure task completion within set budget and timelines.
- Performs quality checks on all work products to ensure they meet set standards and requirements.
- Engages continuously with government technical representatives to present interim results, address concerns, and guarantee total product/service satisfaction.
- Assists, coordinates with, and supports the Program Manager in overall project execution.
- Maintains up-to-date information on the day-to-day status of the program, projects, and staff.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in project management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Experience in federal contracting, specifically with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
- Strong knowledge of project management software tools.
- Proven leadership skills and experience managing teams.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Eligibility:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required federal public trust clearance for this role.
Compensation:
The salary for this position is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, geographical location, the candidate’s specific blend of knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The proposed salary range for this position is between $105,000 and $120,000.
