Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Supervisor to coordinate and oversee the daily operations of a small team of forklift operators within our warehouse facility. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership abilities, a commitment to operational excellence, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
This is a hands-on leadership role that requires exceptional organizational and communication skills, along with the ability to motivate, train, and mentor team members in a fast-paced environment. The Shift Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity, ensuring that all warehouse activities are carried out efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct forklift operators to meet daily operational targets.
- Safely operate a forklift to move and stack lightweight cans and materials as needed.
- Monitor and enforce safety protocols and compliance with company standards.
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment and oversee team adherence to maintenance schedules.
- Assist with general warehouse tasks and ensure workflow efficiency.
- Provide training, mentorship, and performance feedback to forklift operators.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Ensure accurate reporting and tracking of inventory and task completion.
- Ensure trailers and equipment are safe to enter before loading.
- Complete correct shipping documentation and system transitions to ensure proper shipment and inventory accuracy
- Ensure prompt communication with clients, drivers, and guests
Must Have:
- Minimum of 3 years team lead or supervisory experience
- Minimum 3 years of forklift operation experience
- Proficiency in inventory management systems or willingness to learn.
- Valid driver’s license and forklift certification required.
- Physical ability to lift 50-75 pounds regularly and work in varying temperature conditions..
