What are the responsibilities and job description for the Application Support Analyst position at BlueSky Resource Solutions?
This is a contract to hire opportunity. Currently, the role is onsite 5-days a week. This role is not open to C2C, OPT, or Visa consideration. No vendor support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day application support and troubleshooting for internal tools and platforms, with a focus on PDF imaging and automation.
- Work with development teams on maintaining and modifying developer reports.
- Maintain and enhance existing automation scripts using PowerShell and other relevant tools.
- Support and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Assist with HTML and front-end adjustments where applicable.
- Utilize programming knowledge in Python, C , and Powershell scripting to resolve issues or develop small-scale tools.
- Collaborate with IT staff and end-users to analyze application functionality and identify areas for improvement.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Participate in cross-training with existing team members to ensure business continuity and knowledge transfer.
- Support project initiatives as needed, especially related to automation and system enhancements.
Qualifications:
- 2–5 years of experience in application support or a related technical role.
- Proficient in Python, C , SQL, Powershell, and HTML.
- Experience with PDF Imaging tools and automation scripting (e.g., PowerShell).
- Ability to read, troubleshoot, and support developer reports and custom scripts.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience working in Windows environments and knowledge of batch and PowerShell scripting.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems and ITIL processes a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience with imaging software or document processing platforms.
- Understanding of database structures and data integration.
- Basic knowledge of web applications and REST APIs.
