Cybersecurity Engineer Qualifications:
- Regulatory Expertise: Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO/IEC 27001, and CMMC.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems, network security configurations, and cloud environments (AWS or Azure).
- Tools & Automation: Hands-on experience with security automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Packer.
- Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze complex security challenges.
- Communication Skills: Ability to clearly articulate security strategies and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Scripting: Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python, Java, or Ruby.
Cybersecurity Engineer Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor security measures to protect systems, networks, and sensitive information.
- Identify, define, and enforce security requirements and compliance standards, such as NIST and ISO/IEC 27001.
- Configure and troubleshoot security devices, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Develop and deploy security tools to address vulnerabilities, automate tasks, and strengthen defenses.
- Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability testing, and security audits to identify and resolve gaps.
- Analyze logs and monitor security events to detect and respond to potential threats.
- Ensure systems remain updated and compliant with evolving security regulations.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to deliver secure authentication, encryption, and access control solutions.
- Evaluate and recommend emerging security technologies for enhanced protection.
Additional Compensation: This position is eligible for an end-of-year bonus.
