Starting Rate: $20.00/hr
STARBUCKS BARISTA SUMMARY:
Baristas have an opportunity to provide great experiences through exceptional service and finely crafted products. Baristas will be an integral part of the team environment and will have the ability to create some of the world’s favorite coffee specialties for every guest.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet Guests with a smile while receiving and delivering orders.
- Excellent communication and guest service skills
- Ability to remain calm in a fast paced, energetic and changing environment.
- Demonstrate knowledge of brand and menu items.
- Prepare food and beverages to standard recipes or customized for customers, including recipe changes such as temperature, quantity of ingredients or substituted ingredients promptly according to recipe guidelines and standards.
- Check food quality and food temperature throughout the day to ensure the fast food is fresh and safe to serve.
- Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the workstations.
- Responsible for customer payment transactions.
- Prompt and regular attendance on assigned shifts.
- Being a great team player and willing to help in other capacities.
- Open to learn new things.
- Cash handling skills.

Barista Qualifications and Skills:
- Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to interact in a positive and professional manner with Guests and Team Members
- Willingness to learn all areas of restaurant operations & work multiple stations.
- Available to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Food Handlers Certification
Team Member Physical Demands:
- Mobility required during the entire shift.
- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to eight (8) hours in length.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and or up to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 15 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
