What are the responsibilities and job description for the Garden Store Outside Associate position at Blueville Nursery?
Reports to: Plant Manager or Assistant Plant Manager
Position duties include:
- Seeking Parttime and full-time seasonal positions
- Opening and closing tasks out front of the store
- Outdoor maintenance tasks keeping parking lot clean and walkways clear
- Moving plants around with stocking and display tasks
- Ability to lift and load 50-75 lbs.
- Lifting and loading plants and bagged goods for customers
- Greeting customers and answering basic questions. Assisting with general product selection.
- Watering plants
- Pruning and deadheading plants. Pulling weeds. Landscape maintenance tasks with plants and bed care.
- Tagging and signage tasks with plants
- Working in varying temperatures and weather conditions all the time with the ability to quickly adapt to the changes.
- Standing, stooping, kneeling, bending continuously and being on your feet for 8 hours a day
- Team player and ability to work with others
- Strong work ethic
- Excellent customer service skills
- Reliable, responsible, respectful
- Good listener. Ability to take instruction. Follow directions. Multitask. Complete tasks in a timely manner.
Background in landscape, maintenance, horticulture, construction, farm related tasks applicable.
Equipment experience beneficial with basic hand tools, lawn equipment, pallet jacks, fork lifts, skid loaders.
Good driving record
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $11.00 - $15.00 per hour
