General Description:
The Division Controller position performs a combination of the duties described more fully below. The primary responsibility will be to manage all financial aspects of the Construction Division.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly financial statements and communicate results to executives.
- Analyze financial reports and develop new financial strategies to achieve company goals.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the division s finances.
- Supervise a team of 4 AP accountants.
- Manage the completion of month/quarter/year end close for the division.
- Prepare budgets and forecasts for division and present to executive team.
- Work closely with Project Managers and Engineers on project budgeting and cost controlling.
- Travel to jobsites as needed.
- Prepare monthly journal entries.
- Support Corporate with internal and external financial audits.
- Ensure security, integrity, and confidentiality of data.
- Assumes other special activities and responsibilities as required.
Authorities:
The Division Controller has full authority to perform his/her duties; however, they must consult with the necessary Manager in the following matters:
When things vary from the normal processes
When any problems occur
Any threat of litigation or situations which may lead to litigation
Any matter which may affect the interest of the company
Non-compliance with reporting requirements to regulatory authorities
Requirements:
- SAP experience
- Management experience
- Proficiency with MS Office Suites
