What are the responsibilities and job description for the Floating RBT position at BM Behavioral Center?
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. In this role, you will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for our clients through effective behavior management techniques and support in daily living activities.
This role is designed to provide flexible, high-quality coverage across cases to ensure continuity of care and reduce session cancellations. This person will be responsible for:
- Subbing RBTs who are on vacation or have fallen ill
- Shadow active cases so families are familiar with his/her presence.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide sub coverage for RBTs on vacation or medical leave
- Shadow active cases to ensure smooth transition and client’s comfort.
- Support new BTs – if needed.
- Serve as a flexible resource to enhance team responsiveness and service consistency.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active RBT certification
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a BT.
- Willingness to travel across Contra Costa, Solano, and Marin Counties

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $28.14 per hour
