Headquartered in Costa Mesa, California, the Firm currently manages a commercial real estate portfolio comprised of retail, mixed-use, office and multifamily assets located primarily in Orange County, California. Since 2012, Boardwalk's investment strategy is to actively acquire, stabilize, and manage commercial real estate located in core, coastal markets in California. The Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of the property’s common areas. This role supports daily operations by ensuring shared spaces are well-kept, assisting with light maintenance tasks, and providing responsive, professional service to residents and team members.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESMaintain the cleanliness and organization of all common areas, including lobbies, hallways, stairwells, elevators, restrooms, and outdoor spacesSweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors on a regular scheduleEmpty trash and recycling receptacles and ensure proper waste disposalClean and sanitize restrooms, including fixtures, mirrors, and countertopsAssist with the cleaning and preparation of vacant units for new residentsPerform basic maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs and air filtersConduct routine inspections of common areas and report maintenance or safety concernsAssist with set-up and breakdown of community events as neededMonitor cleaning supplies and equipment; report low inventory or needed replacementsRespond promptly and courteously to resident requests related to cleaning or minor maintenanceFollow all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)Handle and store cleaning chemicals and hazardous materials in accordance with established guidelinesAssist with seasonal property maintenance tasks, including snow removal when applicableMaintain a professional appearance and provide excellent customer service at all times REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or equivalentPrevious porter, janitorial, or similar experience preferredKnowledge of cleaning methods, supplies, and equipmentValid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel between propertiesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong attention to detail and time management skillsBasic understanding of workplace safety practicesAvailability to work a Monday–Thursday schedule during assigned shift hoursSCHEDULEStandard Schedule: Monday – ThursdayAvailable Shifts:8:00 AM – 12:00 PM4:00 PM – 8:00 PM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSAbility to stand and walk for extended periodsAbility to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach as requiredAbility to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 poundsAbility to perform repetitive tasks involving manual laborAbility to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditionsBoardwalk offers an attractive compensation and benefits package and the opportunity to be part of an exciting and fast paced organization.
