Service Advisor

Boat Town on Lake LBJ is looking for an additional Service Advisor. This position will support the Service and Parts Department at the Lake LBJ Dealership location. Must have a solid work history and proven customer service skills. Having mechanical background with boats and parts knowledge is preferred. Must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Job responsibilities include initiating repair order- describing symptoms, estimate cost of parts/labor and entering RO into software system. Provide excellent customer service by explaining estimates and expected completion of work and obtaining customers approval. The ideal candidate will be motivated to accomplish tasks diligently and effectively and needs to be a true team player. Previous marine, automotive, recreational vehicle, mechanical, warranty administration and/or management experience is strongly preferred. Works closely with parts and warranty to make sure repairs are completed efficiently. We are open Tuesday -Saturday, paid sick and vacation time. We offer medical, dental, supplemental and life insurance. Knowledge or experience in service writing, parts ordering and receiving, and familiarity with lightspeed is a plus.

Compensation flexible based on experience

Responsibilities include:

Filing and tracking warranty work
Communicating with customers regularly (calling to give updates etc)
Assisting parts manager with inventory and orders
Overall operational assistance for service department
Customer service- helping with check outs, assisting with phone answering, etc

Requirements for this candidate:

Experience with working with manufacturers on warranty issues
Basic mechanic and parts knowledge within automotive or marine industry
Have a high energy level, good work ethic and be able to multitask well
Be responsible, organized, and have good communication skills
Ability to work well with a team
Customer service experience

Preferred qualities for this candidate:

3 years in retail and/or inventory management
3 years within the boating or automotive industry
3 years experience with warranty service work
