ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain and evolve database and application architecture to meet current business application needs and anticipate future requirements
- Work with business analysts, software product managers and developers to plan, test and implement new software tasks and projects
- Upon request and in a timely manner, troubleshoot and resolve application errors and performance problems
- Ensure that all released software is cyber-resilient and application security standards are met
- Ensure that software development tools are kept up to date and able to meet future business needs
- Manage the software development process in accordance with information lifecycle standards ensuring that user requirements are documented, programmer specifications are completed, work schedules are achieved, product testing prior to user testing is accomplished and the handoff of new software to the customer support team is well supported
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Budget and control department general and administrative expenses.
- Provide day to day direction to assigned employees and ensure that their work environment is safe and hazard free, that they are completing assigned work in a timely manner, communicating effectively and working in accordance with company personnel policies and procedures.
- Ensure that assigned employees are presented with opportunities to extend their technical or business training and that this planning is documented in each employee’s yearly checklist.
