Description:
Works as a physician extender providing direct patient care under the clinical supervision of the practice physician(s) in orthopedic office as well as first responder for Outreach events. The athletic trainer is a clinical expert in musculoskeletal conditions, who can provide a high standard of care to all orthopedic patients. As a physician extender, AT will serve as a liaison between the patient and physician. Directly reports to office manager and/or supervisor. Assists direct leader with patient/ customer complaints and/or issues related to operational clinical matters to maximize patient satisfaction efforts. Will work with a variety of orthopedic specialties at multiple locations. For outreach events, AT will serve as a first responder providing on the field AT services. Estimated pay range for this position is $29.00 / hour.
Qualifications:
Degrees: Bachelors Licenses & Certifications: Licensed Athletic Trainer Automated External Defibrillator Certification Basic Life Support NATA Certified Athletic Trainer Additional Qualifications: BS in Athletic Training. State of Florida Department of Health license in Athletic Training, certified by National Athletic Trainer Association Board of Certification, Inc. in Athletic Training. Professional, detail-oriented team player with effective interpersonal communication skills. Confidentiality a must. Proficient in computer applications and typing skills. Experience in Electronic Medical Record systems preferred. Bilingual preferred. High ethical standards, HIPAA/OSHA compliance required. Minimum Required Experience: 1 year
