Bodega Taqueria y Tequila is seeking a dynamic and experienced Food & Beverage Manager to join our team. The Food & Beverage Manager will play a key role in overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant's food and beverage service, ensuring exceptional customer experiences, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. Additionally, as a Food & Beverage Manager you will be responsible for the nightly operations of Bodega Taqueria y Tequila while ensuring adherence to company standards. You will need to be visibly present on the floor during service and solicit feedback from guests/customers. This position requires strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a keen eye for detail. This individual reports to the General Manager or to the AGM in the absence of the General Manager.
Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:
Staff Management

- Supervise, train, and mentor food and beverage service staff, including servers, bartenders, and support staff.
- Create and maintain a positive work environment, fostering teamwork and professional growth.
- Assist in scheduling staff effectively to meet operational needs while optimizing labor costs.
- Responsibleforassigningandsupervisingallopeningand/orclosingsideduties. o Hold daily meetings to discuss operational matters. Engage in ongoing employee training sessions to facilitate continual improvement in performance.
- Acknowledge exceptional performance and address disciplinary actions for unsatisfactory conduct to foster behavioral improvement.
Inventory Management:

- Assist in overseeing the inventory levels of food and beverage items, which includes responsibilities such as ordering, receiving, and stocking.
- Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and ensure cost- effectiveness.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
Quality Control:

- Monitor food preparation, presentation, and service to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Address any issues or concerns related to food or beverage quality promptly and effectively.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all food and beverage service areas.
Customer Service:

- Circulate on the floor while continually checking with the guests/customers to ensure that everything is to the guests’ satisfaction.
- Handle guest/customers complaints and thank them upon departure.
- Monitor and supervise restaurant and/or bar to ensure operation is properly functioning.
- Effectively communicate with customers and employees in a positive and concise manner.
- Listen attentively to requests, provide accurate information, and respond appropriately.
- Maintain composure and attentiveness, particularly during busy periods or emergencies, setting a positive example for all staff.
- Collaborate closely with all departments to ensure smooth operations and uphold high standards of guest service.
- Perform all onboarding duties of newly hired employees in the absence of the Onboarding Human Resources Manager.
Compliance and Safety:

- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures.
- Oversee food safety practices, including proper storage, handling, and preparation of bar-related items
- Adhere to all alcohol service laws and regulations, ensuring responsible service practices. Ensure all bar team members participate in Florda Responsible Vendor trainings as required.
Learning and Development Coordination

- Assist in organizing training programs, workshops, and other learning initiatives to support employee development and skill enhancement.
- Serve as the primary contact for all beverage quality assurance within the property, offering hands-on training to staff as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- 2 years of Food & Beverage, Restaurant and Bar Management experience required.
- Must have a high degree of professional integrity, and be able to work safely, effectively, and efficiently.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Safety Requirements:
All Associates are required to abide by all Safety rules and ensure they perform each task by practicing safe work habits. Any associate who incurs any type of injury is required to report immediately to their immediate supervisor or the Security Officer on duty.
Language Requirements:
- Ability to speak English clearly, distinctly, and cordially with staff and vendors.
- Ability to read and write English to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms.
- Proficiency in effectively presenting information and responding to questions from staff and vendors.
