What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tasting Room - Home Ranch Shop Attendant position at Bogle Vineyards?
POSITION SUMMARY: Bogle Vineyards is seeking a hardworking and energetic Wine Shop Attendant. The ideal candidate for this position will have prior retail experience, have a cheerful and welcoming personality, and have the ability to multitask. This position is sales and customer-service based and will require working well with others, as well as working behind the scenes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop in-depth knowledge of Bogle Vineyards family history, wines, winemaking techniques, sustainability commitment as well as a general knowledge of the Delta region
- Create a memorable shopping experience for guests
- Greet all customers promptly and warmly, providing excellent customer service
- Promote the sale of wine and merchandise
- Introduce and promote membership in the wine club
- Ensure that wine shop and all merchandise displays are kept in immaculate condition
- Handle sales transactions, including operating of cash registers/iPads, processing returns, discounts or other troubleshooting
- Acquire, input and maintain up to date and accurate customer information
- Fulfill and stage all orders for guests, including table purchases, online orders and curbside pickups
- Coordinate with Wine Guides to deliver small purchases tableside
- Monitor and stock inventory of wine and merchandise as necessary
- Coordinate with manager to keep warehouse organized and all wines accessible
- Perform opening and closing shift tasks
- Assist with hospitality special events when needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Must be able to walk, lift, bend, reach, twist and stoop for up to 8 hours/day
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 55 pounds
- Confident with organization and multitasking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be a team player and willing to assist others when needed
- Ability to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays
- Must follow all safety measures in place, including wearing a mask
- Two (2) years retail experience is preferred
- Previous POS/software experience preferred
