What are the responsibilities and job description for the Blaster/Painter position at Bollinger Shipyards?
Blaster/Painter is responsible for the preparation of metal surfaces for painting. The employee will also paint components, equipment, interiors, and exteriors of vessels.
Reads and interprets paint specifications and manufacturer application instructions.
Well versed in spraying conventional, airless, or hand paint systems.
Can apply zinc, epoxy, enamel, or other types of surface coatings.
Familiar with SSPC preparation.
Can troubleshoot blasting and painting equipment and read wet or dry gauges.
Able to supervise a minimum a five workers.
Four (4) years of marine blasting and painting and two (2) years of continuous Company experience preferred.
Salary : $32,000 - $40,500
