Position Summary:
This role administers the computerized maintenance department work order system that supports the overall department function and helps manage the receiving function of BFA. The position requires constant and effective communication within and outside of the department to keep key personnel informed. The position is also responsible for supporting and accomplishing goals and objectives using the team management approach by working closely with other departments, particularly the operations department.

Key Responsibilities:
- Follow GMP/PPE, Safety guidelines
- Effectively communicate (verbally and in writing to complete required documentation)
- Receive, store, and issue hand tools, machine tools, dies, materials, and equipment in industrial establishment.
- Work safely around moving equipment & conveyors in wet environment
- Issue spare and replacement parts, equipment, and expendable items used in repair or maintenance shop.
- Prepare periodic inventory or maintains perpetual inventory of tools and equipment, manually or using a computer.
- Receive, unpack, and store incoming tools and equipment, and requisitions stock to replenish inventory.
- Mark and identify tools and equipment, using identification tag, stamp, or electric marking tool.
- Perform clerical duties as required by shift supervisor.

- Responsible for taking calls for breakdowns of equipment and preparing necessary Work Orders for mechanics
- Perform monthly cycle counts
- Maintains a clean work area at all times
- Perform other duties as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to read, write and speak English; comprehension of basic math.
- Willingness and flexibility to work in a cold, wet, fast-paced, 24 hour plant environment.
- Comprehension of basic math
- Ability to work flexible schedule
- Ability to multitask
- Working knowledge of personal computer spreadsheet, database, and word processing software programs.
- Strong attention to detail
- GED/High School Diploma
- Good organization practices
- Must be able to exchange accurate information through frequent communications within all levels of the organization
Physical Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, this position entails use of ladders and catwalks to reach production equipment, regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to extreme cold for extended periods of time. The associate frequently works in high, precarious places. The associate is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
