Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Portfolio Manager to join our Americas team. This strategic role will lead the development, optimization and performance of our consumer packaged foods portfolio. This role is pivotal in driving portfolio growth, ensuring alignment with consumer trends and maximizing profitability across categories and retail channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a long-term portfolio strategy that aligns with brand positioning, market trends and business objectives.
- Identify opportunities for innovation, renovation and rationalization across product lines.
- Lead SKU optimization efforts to improve shelf productivity and reduce complexity.
- Leverage consumer research, category data and competitive intelligence to guide portfolio decisions.
- Monitor evolving consumer preferences, dietary trends and sustainability expectations.
- Partner with Category Insights and R&D to validate concepts and assess market potential.
- Collaborate with Commercial Strategy, R&D, Supply Chain and Finance to ensure portfolio initiatives are executable and profitable.
- Lead cross-functional portfolio reviews and present strategic recommendations to senior leadership
- Act as a key liaison between commercial and operational teams to balance innovation with feasibility.
- Own portfolio-level financial performance including revenue, margin and contribution to category growth.
- Develop business cases for new product launches and discontinuations.
- Track KPI’s and provide regular reporting on portfolio health and strategic process.
- Guie the prioritization of new product development based on strategic fit, consumer demand and financial viability.
- Ensure a balanced-pipeline of core, seasonal and breakthrough innovations.
- Support go-to-market strategies and launch readiness in partnership with Digital, Shopper and Sales.
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred
- 7-10 years of progressive experience in product management, brand strategy or portfolio management within the CPG industry
- Strong understanding of the food market, retail dynamics and consumer behavior
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable marketing insights
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence at all levels
- Proficiency in syndicated data tools and portfolio management frameworks
- Familiarity with innovation stage-gate processes and commercialization
- Strong financial acumen and experience with P&L management
