Job Summary
Under general supervision, perform a variety of instructional services designed to assist students in becoming fluent in the use of the English language. Employees in this position are assigned to work with pupils in small groups or as tutors on a one-to-one basis. The remainder of the time is spent doing related tasks necessary to meet the needs of the District.
Requirements / Qualifications
To comply with the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) you must meet the requirements. * Possession of a High School Diploma or equivalent AND any one of the following: 1. Completion of two (2) years of college at an Accredited Institution of Higher Education (48 units) 2. Possession of an Associate's degree or higher degree 3. Passage of the CBEST exam 4. Passage of a Bonita Unified School District (BUSD) approved Paraprofessional Exam
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and previous experience and training in working with children in an instructional setting. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Bilingual in English and at least one other to include the target language.
