PROJECT COORDINATOR
Job Description
Summary: Responsible for assisting Project Managers and Field staff in daily activities.
Essential Functions:
- Project Document Management & Communication:
- Maintain and update all documents and files accordingly for all current projects (within Job Files & One Drive).
- Maintain constant communication with Project Managers and Superintendents of changes to current projects (Plans, Submittals, Quality Control, inspection records, etc.).
- Obtain Approved Field Plans and distribute to appropriate staff.
- Read and understand the contract and subcontract agreements, as related to project management.
- Issue/Communicate: RFIs as directed by PM.
- Submittals: organize and maintain communication regarding submittals between Bonness, GC/Engineer and Vendor.
- Monitor Project Performance.
- Assist with Short Interval Planning: Maintain & Manage as directed by PM.
- Permits: Maintain records, prepare & submit.
- Inspections: Requests both Permit related inspections and Underground department inspections.
- Requests and manages water meters for underground department.
- Locates: Call in & Track monthly renewals.
- Requests road Alert Lane Closures as needed.
- Job site deliveries: Maintain communication with project team and schedule as indicated by PM.
- Prepares and issues purchase orders for: Underground, Asphalt & Concrete.
- Attends Project Operation Meetings and assists with meeting minutes and the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
- Prepares and issues vendor RFQs on Active projects as needed.
- Processes Subcontractor invoicing.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor.
Other Functions
- Send reminder memos for meetings.
- Assist with special projects, as needed.
- Schedule Preconstruction Meetings.
- Print plans. Approved submittals, AGTEK Reports, Foreman Reports, and Superintendents Reports to prepare for job setup and Pre-Cons as needed.
- Obtain quotes from subcontractors for current projects as needed.
- Assist with Job setup.
- Assist with answering phones, as needed.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Customer Service experience (preferred).
- Some knowledge in construction Materials/ processes
- Two to five years’ experience in the construction industry (preferred).
- Highly organized
