Role Description
This is a contract, on-site role for a Bonsai Instructor located in/around Portland, Oregon. The Bonsai Instructor will lead engaging workshops, guide participants in bonsai tree creation, and foster a fun, interactive, and educational environment. Responsibilities include setting up and cleaning up after workshops, ensuring materials are organized, and creating a positive and inviting experience for participants. The role requires enthusiasm for teaching, strong interpersonal skills, and a passion for bonsai art and teamwork activities.
Qualifications
- Experience in teaching, public speaking, or leading workshops or group activities
- Knowledge of bonsai or horticultural practices, with the ability to guide hands-on activities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse groups
- Passion for creativity, patience, and fostering collaborative and educational experiences
- Previous experience in customer service or event hosting is a plus
- A flexible schedule to accommodate various event times and availability to travel within the Portland, OR area
