Job Summary:
The Behavior Support Interventionist provides school-based assistance in collaboration with the Principal and Assistant Principal to support a positive, structured, achievement-oriented and creative school culture.

Required Skills/Abilities:
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. Associates Degree preferred.
At least two years related experience required
PMT Certification Required
CPR/First Aid preferred
Physical Requirements:
Able to navigate all areas of the school quickly including indoor and outdoor areas.
Occasionally require running short distances
Prolonged periods of standing, sitting or kneeling.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with school leaders, teachers, students and parents in the implementation of individual behavior plans.
- Assist in collecting data and monitoring behavior and other tasks vital to the needs of students
- Assist in the monitoring of attendance and tardy data and support subsequent family engagement efforts.
- Reinforce the effective use of school-wide virtues and social emotional learning (SEL) curriculum.
- Highly present and visible during school hours ensuring the school has an exceptional scholar focused school culture
- Proactively circulate throughout classrooms and hallways during the day, to gain valuable context on student behavior and help support positive school culture
- Monitor behavioral pull-out and in-school suspensions
- Serve as a member of the school wide SEL Team
- Respond real-time to classroom behavioral concerns and incidents as assigned.
- Perform other assignments within the scope of the role.
