Title: Food Service Secretary
Reports To: Food Service Director
Work Year: 9 month position (approximately 5.5 hours per day)
Direct Deposit the last business day of the month
SUMMARY:
Maintains professional high standards for administrative assistant and bookkeeping practices to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of Food Service bookkeeping. To communicate effectively and positively with parents and students when assisting them with the Food Service Program. Ensure that all of the following duties are completed in a timely and competent manner, personally or by delegation.
EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Computer skills required.
Bookkeeping and customer service experience preferred.

Operating knowledge of and experience with personal computers.
Operating knowledge of and experience with Google (Mail, Calendar, Drive).
Operating knowledge of and experience with typical office equipment, such as telephones, copier, fax machine, email, etc.

1. Performs such administrative assistant duties as requested and assigned.
2. Performs the usual office routines and practices associated with a busy, yet productive and smoothly run, office.
3. Preserves the confidentiality of the district, parents, students, and staff.
4. Answers all questions courteously with a helpful approach.
5. Assists in answering office telephone and responds appropriately to requests for information.
6. Follows directions/instructions and gets along with co-workers and supervisors.
7. Attends work regularly.
8. Performs all duties as may be assigned by the Food Service Director.
9. Accounts for money received for individual student, staff, and faculty accounts.
10. Counts daily receipts from all schools and makes daily bank deposits.
11. Timely and accurately processes all eligibility files and applications and notifies parents of qualifications by letter.
12. All other duties as assigned.
