Registered Nurse (RN) - Inpatient (Full-Time)

Boone Memorial Health (BMH) is a growing, rural Critical Access Health System located in Madison, West Virginia. At the core of our system is a 25-bed inpatient hospital with a 24/7 Emergency Department, which is designated as a Level IV Trauma Center. Qualifications

Required:

• Current WV RN license

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certifications – or must be obtained within 90 days of hire

• Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills

Preferred:

• Previous inpatient hospital nursing experience

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective, and quality patient care to individuals on the inpatient floor

• Perform nursing assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and document accurately in the electronic medical record

• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians

• Educate patients and families on ongoing care, discharge planning, and management of conditions

• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes

• Delegate and supervise care tasks appropriately to licensed and unlicensed staff

• Monitor and report changes in patient conditions to the appropriate provider

• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, nursing standards, and regulatory requirements

• Actively participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Postsecondary completion of an associate degree or higher in nursing from a regionally accredited college or university or a diploma nursing program.
• Successful completion of NCLEX-RN exam.
• Current license through West Virginia Board of Examiners for Registered Professional Nurses.
• Minimum of six months of recent experience as a Registered Nurse.

• BLS Certification (Preferred)
• EMR Service, 1 year (Preferred)
