Boone Memorial Health (BMH) is a growing, rural Critical Access Health System located in Madison, West Virginia. At the core of our system is a 25-bed inpatient hospital with a 24/7 Emergency Department, which is designated as a Level IV Trauma Center. Qualifications
Required:

Current WV RN license
-
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
-
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certifications – or must be obtained within 90 days of hire

Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills
Preferred:

Previous inpatient hospital nursing experience
Key Responsibilities
-
Provide safe, effective, and quality patient care to individuals on the inpatient floor
-
Perform nursing assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and document accurately in the electronic medical record

Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
-
Educate patients and families on ongoing care, discharge planning, and management of conditions
-
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
-
Delegate and supervise care tasks appropriately to licensed and unlicensed staff
-
Monitor and report changes in patient conditions to the appropriate provider
-
Maintain compliance with hospital policies, nursing standards, and regulatory requirements

Actively participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities

Travel required

Required education and experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Postsecondary completion of an associate degree or higher in nursing from a regionally accredited college or university or a diploma nursing program.
- Successful completion of NCLEX-RN exam.
- Current license through West Virginia Board of Examiners for Registered Professional Nurses.
- Minimum of six months of recent experience as a Registered Nurse.
Preferred education and experience
- BLS Certification (Preferred)
- EMR Service, 1 year (Preferred)
