Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and service-oriented Sales Associate to join our team at our BANNER ELK LOCATION! As a Sales Associate, you will assist customers with their shopping needs and ensure an excellent shopping experience. Responsibilities include working the register, stocking shelves, processing inventory, and maintaining the store’s appearance as well as operating tint and shaker machines, tinting paint and stain, matching paint & stain and assist with appropriate suggestions to help complete customer's projects. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in customer service and knowledge of cash register operation as well as present themselves in a professional manner. This job will require HEAVY lifting as well as operating heavy machinery. Applicant must be able to lift 70lbs at one time.
Responsibilities
- Greet each customer with a smile and provide assistance while they are shopping
- Follow all safety and loss prevention procedures.
- Work at a register to ring up and carry out customer sales.
- Collect payments by cash and credit card
- Issue receipts and refunds to customers
- Take added responsibility for stocking, inventory, and store maintenance.
- Drive sales by participating in targeted product promotions and initiatives as set forth by the company.
- Develop and maintain solid product knowledge in order to best help customers with their selections.
- Must have reliable transportation and valid Driver's license.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read, count, write, and communicate clearly and effectively
- Understanding of sales techniques and best practices in customer service
- Willingness to work well in a team environment
- Ability to quickly and accurately work a register
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule
