What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional (DSP) position at Boone Supported Living?
Boone Supported Living is Growing. We are searching for those who love to enrich and touch the lives of others. We are seeking caring, compassionate, and responsible individuals to staff and support Individualized Supported Living for those with developmental disabilities.
WORK SCHEDULES
- Full-Time Days & Evenings
- Block-Time (32-40 shifts)
- Embedment-Time (72-84 hour live-in shifts)
WHAT IS EMBEDMENT?
Inspired by quarantine efforts during COVID-19, BSL eliminated most 8-hour work shifts, and instead shifted to 84-hour shifts every other week (for overnight sleep-shift homes). This dramatically reduced the number of staff cycling through homes each day. Our caregivers love how they can work 3 1/2 days and take 10 1/2 days off. Our individuals love this because their caregiver feels more like a roommate rather than a shift employee. Embedments have been such a success, this has become our new default staffing model.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Hourly compensation has a range between $14.42 - $20.16 and starting embedment shifts are able to earn up to $1,650 per week! Applicants must have day, evening or weekend availability. Generous benefits include: health, dental, vision, vacation, retirement, mileage reimbursement, paid training, weekly payroll and more.
