The Nurse independently provides routine and complex patient care, demonstrating awareness of clinical situations and managing contingencies.
- Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Addresses emotional, psychological, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Administers medications and treatments following protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
- Documents patient information accurately and provides education to patients and caregivers.
- Meets competency expectations, including orientation and annual validation.
- Requires a BSN preferred, with at least 1 year of related experience and current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Completes onboarding, competency assessments, and obtains necessary certifications within specified timeframes.
