Job Description
The operator of the Cut and Pack process will be responsible for running an automated system that cuts and packages sandpaper sheets. The operator will be responsible for change overs, loading of material, quality checks and process flow of the automated system. As a Cut and Pack Specialist, you are expected to maintain a positive work environment by following the appropriate safety procedures.

Understanding proper product flow on machine
Intermediate
Understanding and following 5S procedures pertaining to machine cleanliness and tool organization
Intermediate
Ability to properly record downtime / Machine Breakdowns / Organizational Failures in daily management sheets
Senior
Ability to use HMI to select proper programs
Intermediate
Ability to mechanically change over an automated machine with use of changeover work instructions and proper training
Intermediate
Ability to follow BPS standards with understanding how different aspects of BPS interact

Load material on machine as needed
Operate pin lift, pallet lift, and hoist
Set up and start up of the machine and operate successfully
Make successful adjustments to machine as needed
Assist in the troubleshooting of machine issues and assist with repairs according to escalation plan
Reading and following standard operating procedures pertaining to the machine being operated
Follow the appropriate quality standards and measures for the machine being operated
Understand and following procedures pertaining to machine cleanliness and tool organization
Maintaining knowledge of all safety procedures associated with the machine being operated
Machine has a feeding system by clamp beam working on idle conveyor, the system is motorized. The feeding clamp beams are placed one before and one after cutting head.
Touch screen parameters provide the possibility to set material width in between the cuts (trim), to have the minimum waste as possible. A recipe menu provide the possibility to save machine setup data for each combination: shape size, master web width, material type, etc. The operator has only to recall the desired recipe to start a new machine setup.
