The Annual Giving Officer is a crucial part of our team, responsible for the strategic execution and management of a comprehensive annual giving program. You will work closely with other Development staff members, fostering a collaborative environment where everyone's contributions are valued. In addition to architecting an annual giving program, this role also manages a portfolio of mid-level donors and foundations for personal cultivation and solicitation.

With the Chief Development Officer and other team members, Annual Giving Officer
oversees the strategy development, design, and implementation of all direct mail solicitations to increase our pipeline of donors and prospects.
The Annual Giving Officer is responsible for developing and growing a portfolio of 150-200 individual donors who can give at the $1,000 level to the BA’s Annual Fund. They will build a growth-minded philanthropic pipeline, creating long-term relationships with BA constituents through essential entrepreneurial prospecting work. The Annual Giving Officer will work effectively with the Chief External Affairs Officer and Major Gifts officers to integrate the outreach strategies for annual giving and major gifts.

Annual Giving Programs
With the Chief Development Officer and other team members, Annual Giving Officer
oversees the strategy development, design, and implementation of all direct mail solicitations to increase our pipeline of donors and prospects.
- Develops a matrix of communication and solicitation strategies (email, direct mail, phone, visits) to shape and grow sustainable annual support.
- Creates effective communication and solicitation activities within specific market segments identified as having potential for the most significant growth.
- Manages the online giving program to increase annual participation.
- Creates and Manages a schedule of direct marketing activities and ensures the appropriate review of copy and mailing list selection.
- Writes copy for solicitation and stewardship appeals, letters, and collateral.
- Oversees a comprehensive donor stewardship program and collaborates with the Events Department, Marketing Department, and other relevant teams to plan and implement three to four donor stewardship receptions/events annually.
- Fosters growth of best practices in gift processing, data management, and donor relations related to annual giving.
- Provides strategic direction and long/short-range planning for all areas of the annual giving program.
- Oversees the onboarding of new Proprietor memberships and works with the gift officers to grow annual giving participation amongst these members.
