The Senior Director of Compensation will:
- Develop, lead, and direct BCH’s strategic transformation of enterprise compensation practices, structure, and execution. Responsible for defining a cohesive plan that captures the aspects of technology, people, and process to support a modern compensation delivery with a focus on planning, change management, communication, and training as a means to elevate current compensation approaches and skill sets.
- Direct efforts for annual compensation program planning. Ensure adequate analyses of best practices, innovations, competitive trends, and associated cost considerations.
- Develop and present annual program proposals for salary budgets, pay structure changes, wage increases, incentive programs, etc.
- Direct day-to-day administration of the Hospital's compensation program (conducting market study surveys, analyzing a wide variety of data, making recommendations on requests for pay changes and new hire rates) and the job classification system (reviewing new/revised job descriptions, establishing/maintaining salary structures, assigning jobs to salary plans/grades). Ensure equitable and competitive pay levels and salary ranges.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of compensation policies and procedures. Provide guidance and counsel regarding the interpretation of compensation policy and practice issues. Ensure compliance with Hospital pay policies and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and analyze a variety of employee, demographic, and salary data to support compensation planning and reporting requirements and to provide managers with request data or information needed for planning purposes.
- Collaborate with HRIS and Information Services to develop and maintain automated systems for efficient compensation transaction processing and program administration.
- Ensure pay programs foster Hospital’s ability to attract, develop, and retain talent.
- Direct development and presentation of compensation-related communications and training efforts to foster greater understanding and acceptance among line management.
- Monitor trends in the human resources fields in order to remain competitive within the labor market. Recommend new programs or program enhancements.
- Manage, motivate, and develop staff. Conduct performance reviews and recommend hires, promotions, pay increases, and disciplinary action.
- Develop, manage, and monitor the department’s operating budget.
To qualify, you must have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a closely related field; Master’s Degree preferred.
- 10 years of compensation administration experience, including a minimum of 5 years of experience managing staff.
- Demonstrated experience building and leading teams creating shared enthusiasm for high-quality work products and timely customer service.
