As a Test Technician, you will join our Stretch team as we continue to scale our robot fleet into a worldwide commercially available product. Every day, you will work with our production team, test team, and engineering teams to ensure that our Stretch robots meet quality standards. To thrive in this role, you must have previous relatable experience, be self-motivated and able to work in a collaborative team-based environment with minimal supervision. Day to day activities: Building, debugging, testing and repairs of the world’s most advanced dynamic robots test systems in manufacturing Prototyping, building and troubleshooting of experimental electronics test set-ups and cable assemblies as per test system design specifications Communicating and working with engineering teams to learn about the design and fault diagnosis of critical failure modes Create and maintain detailed documentation of work and oversee implementation of ECOs with minimal supervision Experience developing test procedures and troubleshooting guides for failure analysis Train technicians on the production floor on performing test and failure analysis Desired skills: Formal training or education as an Electronics Technician, or equivalent experience Prior experience working on electrical systems and proficiency of basic test equipment like multimeters, oscilloscopes and signal generators a plus Basic computer skills with experience in command-line operating systems such as Linux Support quality team with failure data entry into tracking tools and perform simple data trend analysis using Excel Working knowledge of CAD software, such as SolidWorks or CATIA Practical hands-on experience with assembling test systems Self-motivated and able to work in a collaborative team-based environment with minimal supervision Able to read and interpret electronic circuit schematic and troubleshoot failures down to a component level Ability to solder SMT PCB components using a microscope or reflow equipment Preferred Skills: Experience with test automation Experience working with robots and/or robotic systems We are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States.
