Associate Account Manager

Job Overview:

We are looking for an Associate Account Manager to join our team. In this entry-level role, you’ll play a key part in managing important client accounts, building lasting relationships, and contributing to overall client success. The ideal candidate brings a foundational understanding of the advertising and paid media landscape—gained through internship experience—as well as solid communication skills to help strengthen client partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary liaison to clients, growing and maintaining strong/effective relationships and ensuring exceptional service and support
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within the BGMP organization
  • Collaborate with our sales representatives to efficiently/effectively complete pre- and post-sales activity
  • Project manage internal teams’ client deliverables, making sure due dates are met and output is above and beyond client expectations, this includes:
    • Working with Boston Globe Media’s content studio, Studio/B 
    • Working with Campaign Management team to execute campaigns in a timely manner, manage delivery, and review reporting
• Follow a defined sales process and use appropriate interpersonal communication methods to advocate for clients/customers internally and externally

Requirements Include:

• 0-2 years of experience
  • Prior internship experience in a professional environment
  • Prior media agency or advertising internship experience
• Ability to effectively multi-task, prioritize, organize, and handle multiple accounts/projects at once
• Excellent verbal/written communication, customer service, problem-solving, and time management skills
• Ability to handle stress in a deadline-driven environment
• Proficiency with GoogleSuite and Microsoft Office, specifically Excel (Sheets), PowerPoint (Slides)
• Ability to balance a client-centric mindset with needs of internal teams
• Positive energy and pleasant (genuine!) demeanor

The BGMP office is located in downtown Boston, near Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market, and is easily accessible by MBTA and commuter rail lines. This position is based in Boston, and candidates should be based in the area or willing to move.
