What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Project Manager position at Boston Roofing?
Assist & oversee commercial projects including field staff, equipment, materials, scheduling, cost efficiency, safety, quality, and production for all assigned projects. The Boston Panel Systems Assistant Project Manager (APM) is responsible for the overall results of the job which include both office and field duties:
- Review of assigned project with estimator. Familiarization of and plans, specifications and details of project.
- Assist and review of contract(s), schedule of values & budgetary allowances.
- Responsible for assisting project buy-out and meeting financial budgets.
- Generate submittal packages and insurance certifications for approval.
- Schedule and participate pre-construction conference before work begins.
- Attend weekly on-site meetings with General Contractor.
- Coordinate work schedule with clients and subcontractors and inform General Manager and project staff of all changes in the schedule.
- Maintain job site records, daily reports, delay requests and weather reports as required
- Monitor job progress and control costs.
- Resolve problems and issues that may arise – includes both technical and contractual.
- Provide support to General Manager as required for materials, schedule, and cost information.
- Prepare estimates & documentation for minor change orders. Provide information/support to estimators for major change orders.
- Maintain a change order status log. Keep Accounts Receivables informed of all pending and approved change orders.
- Submit monthly requisitions based on contract requirements.
- Attend Weekly Team meetings; and Weekly Scheduling meetings
- Occasional travel and out of town work
- Communicate and coordinate with General Manager, Project Managers, clients and subcontractors
- Enforce Boston’s safety policies and correct application/installation procedures on jobsites
Job Requirements:
- College degree required.
- English speaking, bilingual preferred
- OSHA 10 Hour Certification (provided by Boston)
- CPR/First Aid Certification (provided by Boston)
- Product application/craft training (provided by Boston)

Pay: $60,000.00 - $72,800.00 per year
